Add or Modify Favicon

What Is a Favicon?

A favicon (short for “favorite icon”) is the tiny image you see next to your website’s name in a browser tab. It also shows up in bookmarks and browser history.

It’s a small but important piece of your website’s branding—it helps visitors recognize your site quickly and makes your website look more professional.

Example: If you've ever noticed a little icon for YouTube, Facebook, or Google in your tabs, that’s their favicon.

How to Add a Favicon to Your Website

Follow these steps to upload your favicon image in WebPages.org:

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • 1. Log in to your account
Go to webpages.org and log in using your email and password.

  • 2. Open Website Settings
In the left-hand menu, click “My Website”, then select “Website Settings” and then click "Appearance" in the horizontal menu on the page.

Note: “Website Settings” will only appear after you’ve started building your site and given it a name.

  • 3. Upload your favicon
Scroll to the section labeled “Add Favicon.”
Click “Add Favicon” to upload an image from your computer, or select one from your media library.

  • 4. Save your changes
Once your favicon is selected, click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
