Footer scripts are tracking or functionality codes that load at the bottom of your website, just before the page finishes loading. They're often used for:
Live chat widgets
Analytics tools that don’t require early loading
Heatmaps and session recording tools
Performance monitoring tools
Placing certain scripts in the footer can help your site load faster by delaying less-critical functions until the page is fully visible.
If a service gives you a tracking script and says to put it just before the </body> tag, you’ll want to use the Footer Scripts section in WebPages.org.
1. Log in to your account
Go to webpages.org and log in with your email and password.
2. Open Website Settings
Click “My Website” in the left-hand menu, then select “Website Settings.”
Note: You must have started building your website and given it a name for this option to appear.
3. Go to the Scripts section
Click on the “Scripts” tab in the top horizontal menu.
4. Paste your tracking script
Scroll to the “Footer Scripts” section.
Paste your full script there (it usually starts with <script> and ends with </script>).
5. Save your changes
Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
