Updated July 3, 2025 at 12:53 AM

What Is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a free tool from Google that helps you understand how visitors interact with your website. You can see:

  • How many people visit your site

  • Which pages they visit

  • Where your traffic is coming from (Google, social media, etc.)

  • How long people stay on your site

  • What devices they use

This information can help you improve your site, create better content, and make smarter marketing decisions.

How to Add Google Analytics to Your Website

You’ll need to paste your Google Analytics tracking code into your site’s header. Here’s how to do it in WebPages.org:

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • 1. Log in to your account
Go to webpages.org and log in with your email and password.

  • 2. Open Website Settings
Click “My Website” in the left menu, then choose “Website Settings.”

Note: You must have started your website and given it a name to see this option.

  • 3. Go to the Scripts section
In the horizontal menu near the top of the page, click on “Scripts.”

  • 4. Paste your tracking code
In the “Header Scripts” section, paste your full Google Analytics tracking code (it usually starts with <script> and ends with </script>).

  • 5. Save your changes
Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes.”
