Tracking scripts are small pieces of code that help you collect information or add features to your website. You’ll usually get these scripts from tools like:
Google Analytics – website traffic and visitor behavior
Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) – advertising and conversion tracking
Hotjar / Crazy Egg – heatmaps and session recording
Live Chat tools – customer support widgets
Google Ads – ad performance and remarketing
These scripts don’t affect your site’s design, but they run behind the scenes to collect data or add functionality.
You can add most tracking scripts by pasting them into the Header Scripts section of your website settings.
1. Log in to your account
Visit webpages.org and log in with your email and password.
2. Open Website Settings
Click “My Website” in the left-hand menu, then select “Website Settings.”
Note: You must have started creating your site and given it a name to see this option.
3. Go to the Scripts section
At the top of the page, click on the “Scripts” tab in the horizontal menu.
4. Paste your tracking script
In the “Header Scripts” section, paste the full code snippet you received from the service (it usually starts with <script> and ends with </script>).
5. Save your changes
Scroll down and click “Save Changes” to apply the script to your website.
Always copy the full script exactly as provided.
You can paste multiple scripts into the same section if needed—just place each one on a new line.
Some services may also give you a Body or Footer script. Only use the Header Scripts section if the instructions specifically mention placing it in the <head> tag.
